Beyoncé Knowles-Carter has done it again.
This is not the first time the multi-award winning pop star artist is on top of the charts. In fact, Beyoncé is ranked #1 on the Teen Pop Artist list.
However, as of today, the trending topic is not on her secret video album she
dropped or the infamous "On The Run Tour" with her hubby rapper Jay-Z. Nonetheless, it is simply on her newest hairstyle. Her oh-so-short bangs!
For one, Beyoncé is a classically undefined woman by her music and ability to
inspire many cultures, women and fans all around the world. In the fierce diva's newest album she outlines the issues women face culturally.
In her song, “Pretty Hurts,” from her latest self-titled album, she sings about
the universal desires of women attempting to achieve prettiness. The artist
expresses, “we try to fix something that you can’t fix, which is a soul that
needs a surgery.”
Once again, I question: what is the true definition of beauty? Is beauty defined by a woman’s hair? Is it defined by what others
think? Rather, it is defined by the way you carry yourself as a woman with
respect, dignity and class. It is confidence embraced.
What’s your definition? I want to know. Please share below.
While outer appearance can be a reflection of one's beauty, it absolutely does not define it. I don't mind this look (I've had bangs even shorter than this before lol), but people are hating just because it's "different." Why does different have to be wrong?
ReplyDeleteIn the end, Bey is gonna be Bey, with or without hair.
I am pretty sure you looked gorgeous rocking your short bangs.
DeleteI agree. Why does different have to be wrong? I believe that's a question we will continue to ask while society will continue to define it's meaning negatively.
Peta-Gay,
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with you and Bey! Beauty is confidence and it should not be defined what others think or what society says is beautiful. If Bey can rock the bangs, which we know she can, she'll be confident and and confidence is beautiful! Thanks for your awesome post
